Tensoforma was born from the design and construction of custom lightweight structures. The experience gained in studying the mechanical properties of textile materials, together with expertise in designing and installing tensile structures, has enabled the development of advanced technological solutions capable of meeting the new demands of contemporary living. The result is a range of architectural systems in technical textiles for innovative building envelopes — from ventilated facades to facade systems — where formal lightness and high mechanical, thermal, and energy performance come together in an effective synthesis.
Texo is a pre-tensioned fabric panel, a structural system based on the use of a special frame made of extruded aluminum profile with a silicone elastomer interposed between the profile frame and a textile membrane. An innovative, versatile, high-performance envelope system suitable for both new construction and the renovation of existing buildings.
Texo is an exclusive Tensoforma system, patented and tested to guarantee reliability, quality, and uniqueness in the textile facade sector.
The frame profile enables the creation of large, flowing textile surfaces, reducing visible joints between one module and the next.

For the 32nd America's Cup, the Luna Rossa base, designed by Renzo Piano and engineered by Tensoforma, integrates the boat's original sails into a textile facade on a Texo60 structure.
Designed by Opsis Architecture and engineered with the contribution of Tensoforma, Ice Lantern is a 2,800 m² pavilion in the desert, featuring a suspended roof and a multifunctional sports surface. A transparent ETFE textile cladding wraps the perimeter, ensuring stability, durability, and visual lightness. Integrated into the topography, it mitigates wind, heat, and snow while enhancing natural light and the relationship with the landscape.
Designed by Archea Associati and engineered by Tensoforma, the facade redefines the building envelope through a soft, dynamic textile cladding. More than 810 ATEX 3000 membrane panels, pre-assembled on aluminum substructures, clad 3,070 m² while ensuring stability and durability. The translucent surface interacts with the light, creating ever-shifting reflections and shadows—an expression of the innovation of the Texo system.
