Tiffany Dubai Mall
In the heart of the Dubai Mall, the facade of the Tiffany & Co. flagship store comes to life as a symphony of light, reflections, and movement. Conceived by SANAA and realized through Tensoforma's engineering work, the project transforms architecture into a poetic expression of elegance and luxury. The structure, made up of aluminum panels clad in mirror-finish sheet metal, houses hand-polished K9 glass cubes, each positioned by hand at a different angle with precision to capture and reflect light, creating a fluid, undulating rhythm that dances across the surface.
Tensoforma played a key role in translating the concept into reality, combining precision engineering, craftsmanship, and innovative lighting solutions. CNC-milled panels, custom elastomer gaskets, and carefully calculated perforations allow the facade to appear suspended, almost defying gravity, while ensuring structural integrity. Integrated grazing light accentuates depth and enhances the interplay between transparency and reflection, turning the facade into a living work of art that interacts with the observer and the surrounding environment.
